ABOUT US
Middleton Town Centre
Management Company is dedicated to improving the vitality
and viability of Middleton Town
Centre. Middleton TCM is committed
to continuous improvement and is a
member of the Association of Town
Centre Management (ATCM).
Middleton TCM is made up of
representatives from Rochdale
Council, GMPTE, Middleton Shopping
Centre together with other
businesses and organisations with an
interest in the town centre. Through
the help of subscriptions the cost
of the Town Centre Manager and
Support Officer are met.
This is an exciting time for the
regeneration of Middleton Town
Centre with the opening of the
new Middleton Arena and Tesco store
which will link in with the modern
Middleton Gardens and Shopping
Centre. Bringing all these developments
together and ensuring a high quality
shopping environment is maintained
is key to our aim.
In
addition to the strategic
coordination of these improvements
we are also responsible for ensuring
basic services are provided to a
high standard and that local
business and provided with
information and support to help them
prosper. We also manage the
Middleton Gardens town square which
is used for events and has
become home to the Middleton Market.
WHAT WE DO
We offer business a
range of support and advise services
including help with business rates
assessments, signposting
professional and legal services and
supporting new property enquiries.
We have also run a number of
successful training and development
sessions for small businesses on
issues such as marketing, book
keeping and employing staff.
We also operate a number of
not-for-profit commercial
ventures including;
- Middleton
Street Market - operating
three days a year and providing up
to 60 stalls selling new and used
goods.
- North
Manchester Car Boot Sale
- operating on the 3rd Sunday of
each month at Middleton Shopping
Centre.
- Middleton
Gardens Management -
marketing and promoting the town
square as an events and promotion
venue.
Any profits generated from each of
our commercial ventures is
reinvested into Middleton town
centre funding events and activities
such as the Christmas Light Switch
On and Summer Fun Days.
